Facial Redness Treatment

At Clinica Lase, we offer safe and effective rosacea treatment for men and women.

Redness and rosacea is a condition in which certain facial blood vessels enlarge, giving the cheeks and nose a flushed appearance. It can often be hard to treat and there are many factors that can determine the best method of treatment.

We first assess a person’s diet and lifestyle to see if there is anything that may be contributing to the skin condition and then find the most suitable treatment plan. Treatments such as LED light therapy can be helpful in reducing facial redness in the skin, as well as Laser Genesis.

Each patient’s condition and needs vary, but generally, a course of four to six treatments will be recommended for best results.

Commonly asked Questions

What happens during LED Light Therapy for Rosacea?

LED Light Therapy uses Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) at different wavelength settings to treat rosacea and other skin conditions. The light helps to stimulate collagen production and increase blood circulation, which will help to improve facial redness.

During your consultation, your skin will be assessed to choose the most appropriate LED setting. Before treatment, your face will be cleaned and prepped before the LED machine is lowered to just above your face. Normally, LED Light Therapy lasts around 20-30 minutes. The number of treatments that you will need will be discussed with you during your consultation.

Does LED Light therapy hurt?

Patients describe LED Light Therapy as a painless treatment and it is known for being a non-invasive treatment for rosacea. This means that you can relax during LED Light Therapy.

What can I expect after LED light therapy?

There is no downtime associated with LED Light Therapy. This means that patients are free to leave the clinic when they are ready and return to their daily routine without any disruption. There is no need to avoid any activities after LED Light Therapy. But, it is recommended to avoid direct sun exposure for a number of days after treatment.

What happens during a Laser Genesis treatment for Rosacea?

Laser Genesis is a non-invasive procedure that uses laser technology to treat rosacea, as well as wrinkles, acne and scars. This procedure will gently heat the upper dermis of the skin, which helps to stimulate collagen production. This will help to diffuse redness.

The treatment does not last long and involves using a laser machine on the skin. You may need several treatment sessions and this will be discussed during your consultation.

Does Laser Genesis Hurt?

Laser Genesis does not hurt and patients have only described a warming of the skin during treatment. Most people find this relaxing and not uncomfortable.

What can I expect after Laser Genesis?

There are some common after effects that you can expect when you have had treatment with Laser Genesis. This can include a redness on the skin and minor swelling. However, this normally resolves within a couple of hours after rosacea treatment. That is why Laser Genesis is often referred to as a lunchtime treatment.

Most patients do not take time off work for Laser Genesis. But, direct sun exposure should be avoided for around 14 days. In addition, you should wear SPF cream when you are outdoors. It is recommended not to take part in strenuous activity for 48 hours post procedure. This includes using steam rooms, saunas and chlorinated and salt water pools.
