Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a method of permanent hair reduction that works by inserting a fine probe into individual hair follicles and delivering a small electrical current to destroy the root. It is the only hair removal method approved for all hair colours.

Real Talk

Electrolysis uses either heat (thermolysis), a chemical reaction (galvanic), or a combination of both to target and destroy the cells responsible for hair growth. It’s ideal for removing single hairs or treating areas where laser may not be effective, such as light, grey, red, or white hair.

Electrolysis may be used to treat:

  • Unwanted facial hair (lip, chin, sideburns, brows)
  • Fine blonde, grey, red or white hairs not suitable for laser
  • Hairs around tattoos or pigmented lesions
  • Stray or coarse hairs on the body
  • Small areas that require precise treatment

Because hair grows in cycles, multiple treatments are necessary. Most clients require a series of appointments spaced over several months for long-term results. The number of sessions depends on the area treated, hair density, and individual hair growth cycles.
