DOT Therapy
DOT Therapy is a fractional CO₂ laser treatment that uses controlled energy to create micro-channels in the skin. This process is designed to support collagen production and assist with improving texture, pigmentation and scarring in suitable candidates.
Real Talk
DOT (Dermal Optical Thermolysis) Therapy is a fractional CO₂ laser treatment that creates thousands of tiny, precise columns of thermal energy in the skin.
These micro-channels stimulate the body’s natural healing response, which may help improve skin texture, tone and overall quality.
Because untreated skin surrounds each channel, healing is generally quicker than traditional full-field CO₂ resurfacing.
DOT Therapy may be used to assist with:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sun damage and uneven tone
- Textural irregularities
- Enlarged pores
- Acne scarring
- Surgical or traumatic scars
- Stretch marks
- Pigmentation concerns
- Skin laxity
- Dull or ageing skin
This treatment is not suitable for all skin types, particularly higher Fitzpatrick types. Your clinician will assess your skin to determine suitability and safer alternatives if required.
Treatment plans vary between individuals.
Some people may notice improvement after a single session, while others may require a staged approach or a series of treatments depending on the concern being addressed, their skin response, and desired outcomes.
Your clinician will discuss the most appropriate plan for your skin during your consultation.
#1 – CoolPeel
A light CO₂ resurfacing treatment that uses short, controlled pulses to target superficial texture and mild fine lines with minimal heat.
- Minimal downtime (typically 1–3 days)
- Suitable for milder concerns or ongoing skin maintenance
#2 – Tetra Pro (Moderate Resurfacing)
Targets both superficial and deeper layers of the skin to improve texture, pigmentation and early-to-moderate signs of ageing.
- Moderate downtime (around 3–7 days)
- Suitable for those wanting more noticeable improvement without the intensity of DOT Therapy
#3 – DOT Therapy (Advanced Resurfacing)
A more intensive fractional CO₂ option designed to address deeper lines, scarring and more advanced textural changes.
- Downtime can range from 5–10+ days
- Usually chosen for more significant skin concerns where appropriate
Your clinician will guide you through which option best aligns with your skin goals, concerns and safety.
