Getting your bridal glow on

Getting your bridal glow on

How far out from the wedding day would you recommend a bride starts her skincare regime?

At Clinica-Lase we generally begin our bridal treatment plan 6 months in advance to ensure optimal results are achieved. If this isn’t possible then it is simply the earlier the better. Our team of Nurses and Dermal Clinicians will customise an individualised plan for each and every bride to be to ensure you get the very best results regardless of timing.

What treatments would you recommend for the best glowing and radiant skin on the wedding day?

We usually use a combination of LED light therapy, chemical peels and oxygen facials in the lead up to the big day. Due to the instantaneous nature of the results, we suggest an oxygen therapy facial 1 – 2 days prior to the wedding for that ultimate glow. The number of treatments required depends on the individual but we find about 8 visits is the average.

What would you recommend for a bridal skincare regime at home?

The most important thing is to use a high-quality cosmeceutical product range and add in lots of antioxidants and vitamins such as A, B and C. This will ensure that the skin is nice and healthy to give that ultimate glow. We also recommend the Dermaroller home roller which helps to deliver better penetration of your cosmeceuticals.

What treatment plan would you recommend from 3 months out to the lead up to the big day?

3 months out we would be looking to conduct treatments that produce the most dramatic effects over a longer period of time such as skin needling (to improve texture, even out fine lines and reduce pore size), chemical peels (this is individually customised to each client depending on their skin needs) a some laser facials . Depending on the individual, anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, Clear + Brilliant, and even eyebrow tattooing may also be considered.
2 months out we would continue with the chemical peels but start to combine them with LED light therapy.
1 month out from the big day we would reduce the chemical peels to a very mild formula, continue with LED light therapy and begin oxygen therapy facials.

What treatments should a bride avoid close to her wedding day?

In the 2 weeks leading up to the wedding, we would not recommend treatments with potential significant downtime such as injectables or skin needling. Similarly, we would always advise not to have strong peels or start a new skin care regime that you have not previously tried to avoid adverse reactions or breakouts.

What quick fix would you recommend for a bride on the day of the wedding?

Make sure your skin is well exfoliated to ensure an even makeup application. Our go-to product for a bride on the day of the wedding is the Aspect Fruit Enzymes Mask. A total must have!
