Mesoneedling is a fully customisable skin treatment designed to rejuvenate and tighten your skin. During the treatment, a customised blend of injectable grade active ingredients in a serum form are infused into the skin via the micro channels created by the microneedling. The active ingredients, customized to your skin concerns are able to travel deeper within the skin, due to the channels being created, enhancing their performance.

A sterile microneedling device is used to open up channels of the skin which allows the customised active ingredients to penetrate through the dermal/ epidermal junction. This treatment will stimulate collagen and elastin whilst also infusing active ingredients to target a specific concern. 

Mesoneedling is a complete treatment which is fully customised depending on the client's concerns. This combines the effects of skin needling with infusion of injectable grade active ingredients. Mesoneedling includes a personalised peel before and a cooling mask applied after the microneedling.

Mesoneedling would be considered a step up from a Skin Pen treatment due to the added effect of the injectable grade serums used during the procedure.

Mesoneedling is recommended for a wide variety of concerns, such that nearly anyone would benefit from this skin treatment as it is fully customisable.

For example, mesoneedling can be used to rejuvenate, hydrate, improve pigmentation, refine pores, improve fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring and uneven texture. Mesoneedling can also be altered to be done as a lighter minimal downtime treatment or more intense to target more stubborn skin concerns.

Mesoneedling is helpful for ageing prevention and age management, as well as the smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment can also help with open pores, hyperpigmentation, dehydration, acne scarring and dull, uneven skin tone and texture.

The treatment starts with a thorough cleanse, a customised peel is then applied which will gently exfoliate the skin. The microneedling will then be performed, your face will be split into sections and the customised injectable grade ingredients will be applied to the skin during the procedure. These active ingredients will be absorbed by the skin where they will work their magic. This part of the procedure can feel a little bit uncomfortable. It can feel a bit scratchy but your clinician will make it as comfortable as possible. 

After the Mesoneedling a cooling mask is applied to the skin which will set and be removed. Homecare products are then applied to help hydrate and repair the skin.

Skin can feel hot and sensitive after mesoneedling treatments and is likened to the sensation of sunburn. This normally resolves after the first 24 hours but skin can feel sensitive and dry for a few days post treatment.

Skin should feel back to normal 5-7 days post treatment and the best result will be from 2 weeks to 6 months post treatment as it takes this long for collagen synthesis.

Results from mesoneedling can be seen after 1 treatment however for best results normally a series of 4 treatments 4-6 weeks apart are recommended.

If aftercare advice is followed correctly then the risk from mesoneedling is very minimal. As with any treatment there may be adverse effects however this is always thoroughly explained in the consultation process.
