Common Questions
Upon arrival you will be asked to fill out a consultation form which will include questions about your skin type, medical conditions, previous treatments, etc. You will then have a private discussion with one of our supervising Doctors and cosmetic nurses who will assess your individual requirements, suggest a tailored plan and take you through the details of the treatment including pre-care and aftercare. This will also give you the opportunity to have any questions or queries regarding your treatment answered.
Exercising your facial muscles by exaggerating facial movements for around an hour after having your treatment will allow the injected product to work into the muscle. Your treatment will not be affected if you do forget to do so.
It is normal to have some redness, swelling and tenderness post treatment. If you experience any discomfort during this period you may apply a cold compress or alternatively an ice pack to the area. If you are still experiencing some discomfort be sure to contact the clinic immediately.
24 -48 hours post procedure we discourage the use of products containing AHAs, BHAs or Retinoids.
Make-up may be applied post procedure as long as mineral make-up is used and be sure that sponges and brushes are thoroughly cleaned to minimise infection.
Some patients can experience a mild headache post procedure. If this occurs you may take paracetamol as needed.
